The film «Brutus» became of the three films nominated for the Golden Eagle Award for Best Short Film by the National Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences of Russia. Other nominees for the prestigious Russian award are «Mama» by Kirill Pletnyov and «Well, hello, Oksana Sokolova!" directed by Kirill Vasilyev. 

 

The Golden Eagle Award is an accolade by the National Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences of Russia. It is awarded for excellence to professionals in the film industry through votes by the full members and by associate members of the Academy.

 

Winners in different categories will be announced on January 27, 2017, at an awards ceremony. It is the first time in this awards history when short films are nominated.
