«Brutus» wrapped filming

On September 22 a press conference dedicated to «Brutus» end of production and release of its official trailer took place in the Documentary Film Center. The press conference was attended by the cast: Oksana Fandera, Filipp Yankovsky, Vladimir Koshevoy and Anna Churina, as well as by director and producer Konstantin Fam and producer Alexey A. Petrukhin. The creators shared their plans on film promotion at festivals, and talked about further work on the trilogy «Witnesses».
 
«Brutus» is the second short film of the trilogy «Witnesses» dedicated to the memory of the Holocaust victims. The first picture of the trilogy, «Shoes», was released in 2012 and won numerous awards at Russian and international film festivals. «Brutus» continues with the concept of the trilogy and tells about the Catastrophe through the eyes of a German shepherd Brutus. The Nuremberg Laws separated the dog from his beloved mistress, and special training turned the harmless pet into a concentration camp killer dog. The film is based on the short story of the same name by Czech writer Ludvik Ashkenazy. The filming took place in Russia, Romania and Belarus.
